spectrum crowding
...it will lead to (cause) frequency spectrum "crowding"

Comment: "It turned out that "crowding" is a legitimate term in the context. My physical disctionary and Google support it.
Would like to say thanks to every one"

spectrum condensing or densening
Эти термины по-моему больше всего подходят по физическому смыслу. Все таки наверное densening.

...
А поступите так же, как и хитрый автор оригинала, назовите frequency spectrum "densification"

spectrum saturation
я бы объединил с предыдущим предложением (если таковое есть) и написал
... thereby resulting in spectrum 'saturation'.

densification seems a good option either

or even spectrum 'congestion'

pls disregard my previous note as spectrum congestion provides a different meaning ~ frequencies overlapping
the best I can offer is 'spectrum consolidation'
... thereby resulting in spectrum 'saturation'.

Russian term (edited):
сгущение спектра
This leads to "compression" in the series of dispersion curves
or "compression" of the frequency range for the series of dispersion curves
in other words:
--I am not crazy about the word "spectrum" here.
--One may have to add a specification in English of what dimension is being dealt with.

: I suspect that "spectrum" is not a problem; anyway, it will be interesting to see what the final answer turns out to be.

spectrum compression
This is a term I have seen, but can't guarantee it is right in your context.

Note from asker:
Hi Kari! I'm afraid that "spectrum compression" is not the case here. By "spectrum compression" is most likely meant compressing spectral data to store them somewhere. In my case, the process is similar to mesh refinement where the distances between mesh nodes become less. |
