The legal framework is much needed May 9

There's a worldwide need for a legal framework setting the use of GenAI in all the creative areas.
The law must clarify and set a limit to what's acceptable AI use and what's plagiarism.
Also, it must clearly state the acceptable (and unacceptable) origin of the LLM training sources.
But, it must be either quick —because tech companies are already infringing copyrights— or it must be backdated to 2018 or before the GenAI models started to be tested.

I wonder how much difference this will make for the translators themselves, because most of them work for agencies and thereby transfer their rights to the agencies.
Also, the "small amount" to be paid by AI for the rights is, I'm afraid, not at the level needed.
I think AI compagnies still have too much influence on those laws.
