I am getting fed up with having to 'select-all' and change the font to Cordia New or Ansanga New manually every time I open a Thai document in Word. Is there a way that we can set up MS Word to open Thai fonts in one of these preferred fonts instead?
I use MS Word 2011 for Mac, and what I see when I open Thai text documents is rows of empty rectangles and the occasional bold English word as shown below:
Many thanks,
DJ

Doesn't Menu | Format | Font, choose font, set Default do the trick?
If not, we shall have to create an Automator action, or an AppleScript.
Cheers,
Hans

How can we make Ansanga New the default font when we switch to Thai language, CMD+Space. Now I am getting Thonburi, which turns into boxes whenever I type a Thai vowel.
