Opening .txt file in NTSC

I recently got a mail sent to me via ProZ.com by a subtitling company, asking me if I was interested in taking a test for them. I did translations for subtitling some years ago, and I'd love to do it again. My problem is that I received a .txt file in NTSC for the text... and I can't find the right application to open it with! I guess thats shows how utterly out of date I am... Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated! Regards to all.

Have you tried notepad (boc de notas).
You can usually open any file with notepad.

Are you sure about this? A txt file (text file) has nothing to do with NTSC (a video standard). Using Windows, you open a txt file with any editor (like Notepad or Word).

I usually work with .txt files, but there's no way to open this one! I tried looking into the "Properties" of the file, but all I get is "unknown". I though it might be some new application I wasn't familiar with, but I guess I'll try directly with the agency. Thanks again, German!

The extension of the file was wrong... Once corrected, it worked OK with notepad. Muchas gracias Almendras and German for your support!

Wordpad safer option Sep 16, 2006

I'd suggest using Wordpad rather than Notepad as you won't lose any of the formatting (and more particularly for the subtitling client at the other end).
