However, I do think it is important to keep everyone informed of everything that is going on, and I don't think you should interpret my posting additional information as suggesting that I haven't been following this thread closely enough.
Whether or not they take any notice remains to be seen, but the fact is that the ATC has been affected by this scammer and will naturally want to use any means possible to protect their good name; and as we have seen, they are also very helpfully g... Dear colleagues,
It is definitely a scam. I was just alerted to your message by a colleague responding to my warning about Native-Speaker.org. The company owes me quite a serious amount of money and has no intentions of paying me. It also claims to be a member of ATC; I wrote the complaint letter to the organization and am quite happy to see that it has taken action. Thanks Tony for that official letter.
Hope it is not too late to prevent others from taking jobs.

The PO did not have any contact details on it, and the translation was for a mobile phone app, but no specific clues about who the end client might be.
I have definitely learned my lesson now!

Same agency contacted me half an hour ago and asked if I could translate a project for them. I sent an e-mail asking what the project was about. Obviously I can't translate every subject. When I receive such e-mails from new agencies I always copy the domain of their e-mail addresses and go through their website. I did the same with this agency (!) and noticed that they have no open address on their website. I find this very suspicious and never work for any agency that does not provide their ad...
