Hi All,

I have received very unpleasant mails lately demanding evidence's and names.

I have also received a lot of questions to my private mail from translators asking if they should qoute on this job or not.

But there is a couple of questions you have to ask yourself when assesing this outsourcer.
1 Why isn't the outsourcer registered on Proz.com, he's evidently monitoring
the site?
2. Why hasn't the outsourcer posted the job on Proz.com, he's evidently
monitoring the site?
3. Why doesn't the outsourcer's home page contain any company information?
4. The company site was created 2008, while the Domain
(global-translation.org) was registered late June 2010.
5. The Domain (global-translation.org) is registered by the same entity as
alrwaad.com which is banned from Proz.com.

You could look up the domains at http://www.whois.net/whois/alrwaad.com and

That's about it, wish you all the best,

Erik

Scam? Steve Cole from UK Jan 25, 2011

Hello,

I wonder whether I got scammed..I received a translation request from an Englishman called "Steve Cole" on my e-mail client, and he offered to do an English>French translation about the use of drugs.

He said he would pay by cheque.

Hello,

I wonder whether I got scammed..I received a translation request from an Englishman called "Steve Cole" on my e-mail client, and he offered to do an English>French translation about the use of drugs.

He said he would pay by cheque.

Since it was a small translation I did it, and asked to be paid by Paypal or through a secure bank cheque or wire transfer.

However in the meantime he said he had made a mistake on the cheque and was sending me a 2500 euros cheque (instead of 250 euros) and asked that I return the difference using instant cash method if I recall..

That's when I realized it was a scam.I'm 99% sure it is.

I told him nicely that I would not accept his regular UK cheque, and that I would denounce him to the UK fraud organization (can't recall the name) if he does not pay me within 30 days or send me the cheque.

He kind of ingored my message and e-mailed me again a few days to tell me this! I could not believe it!!

Scam. In fact this same "person" has been discussed in another thread. Also goes by Morgan Cole and a couple of other aliases. Try running a search in the ProZ forum.
(I almost fell for it too but only worked about 1/2 hour before I caught on)

Zak Orell might be a con man! Mar 11, 2011

Jak Orell offered the job of 75000 words.
I asked the PO and I got the PO
I delivered the job in about five parts in about two weeks, considering the volume.
The completed job was the mirror image of the Original.
The job was about the Star S4 IR Eximer Laser.

Despite of my sending many emails, he has Not replied to me since the complete delivery of the job.

I asked his phone number twice and he gave me this number twice 002 01512001811, which i

He (or his kind of people) might think he is smart enough to deceive a hard working person like me, but it is not finished yet.

So it would be safer Not to do any work with him until he pays in full.

If he persists to be a con man, we should help him to pay the price.

Thank you.
