Hello!
Does anyone know about the post-editing tool called "Freddie"?
If so, can you give me your opinion.
I've never heard of this tool and I can't find any info online...

What would the particular features of a "post-editing tool" be?

(Never heard of any tool named "Freddie" - where did you hear about it?)

I have no idea! That's why I posted my question here.
Me neither.
It was a translation agency. They said all their PEMT projects would be handled with that tool.
I'm not sure if I give it a try just to meet that "Freedie" in person...

I work with at least three assisted translation tools and I'm quite happy about it, but I'm always open to learning others that I don't know.
Here, what I understand from the agency is that Freddie is not a CAT tool, but a machine translation engine. Maybe they explained it wrong and I got that impression.
As long as it's not really a CAT tool like POEditor, Smartcat, MateCat and the like, maybe I'll give it a try.
Can you tell me why I shouldn't use it, please?

Thanks, PAS, but I don't think so.
I spoke to the potential customer on the phone who was very helpful and explained it is a proprietary tool. He also explained its name.
It's not a CAT tool, but a post-editing tool. I'll try it out if they take me on as a freelance translator in their team.
