If you interpret this as Nov 12, 2018

being the ceiling in the evolution of AI, you are getting it wrong.

It simply means that the present models / methods are getting close to their ceiling.

The next step / the next level - in few months or few years or ... - will be so more advanced that you will wonder why the present level was called "intelligence" at all.
