Does anyone know how much is it normal to pay to a translator in France, by month?

Do you refer to a full-time, salaried, position?

There is no "normal". Salaries vary according to the job description, to the skills/degrees required, to experience, etc. To name only a few variables. Salary negotiating skills are also a non-negligible factor.
Just like any other job in the private sector. Hint: if the employer agrees without hesitation to the salary you ask, that means you are not asking enough. Not that there is anything you can do at this point

Sorry, but as in Portugal a monthly payment means that you work 35 hours/week for the whole month,so I didn't remember to state it...

Of course experience matters, but that's why I would like to know an average, so that I can consider it when taking other factors in consideration.

Can you give me an idea (ex. from XXX to YYY), please?

Thanks!!!
Isabel

It's my impression that pole-emploi's salaries usually represent the lower average for a certain type of job, but maybe not for translation. I would also take a look at other job sites to get an idea of the full range.

Of course... but some offers lead to the APEC site - www.apec.fr - for example, others to time-work agencies etc. One will find the best and the worst on it.
