MemoQ - completion percentage Thread poster: Olga Dyussengaliyeva

I have a question on a simple yet for me very essential thing - how can I track completion in MemoQ. Say, in Wordfast which I'm quite used to now, there's a completion percent in the down right corner - this helps me greatly to plan and organize my work to meet the deadline. Can't find this feature in the MemoQ, which I'm only starting to learn; however I'm quite sure it must be there.

Hi Olga,
It's in the bottom lower left of memoQ:
P(roject): % D(ocument): %

% of segments completed AFAIK | Sep 7, 2012 |
not % of wordcount done.
It is very different if you start with small segments and leave the rest for later!

Gail, what version of MemoQ are you talking about here? I can't find such an option in my 4.5.

Good to know that it is possible in 5.0, but not enough of a killer feature for me to upgrade from 4.5. Being a lazy man, I usually wait until strategic agency customers require my upgrading before doing so.

Or (in 5.0), right-click the completion status strip for a context menu that allows you to change the measuring unit.

The other option for tracking your progress is to use the bar chart icon on the top below the menu items. I use this feature a lot, as it displays the breakdowns in each category in numbers. This gives you a better idea how many words you have translated and how many more words need to be translated.

Yes, I'm a bit behind but you sound as if I said I was still on Windows 98...
