Assuming there is one and only one "=" sign at each line:
Open your file in Word. Save as filename_all
Replace "=" with a tab (Search = and replace with ^t)
Convert text to table (Table>Convert in Word 2003)
Then:
either apply the do-not-translate style to the first column and Add doc as... in MemoQ (better if you want to be able to refer to the property name in MemoQ while translating), or
copy-paste the second column into a new file named filename_totranslate and Add in MemoQ.
Translate in MemoQ
Export
Then reverse what you did before, ie convert table to text and replace tabs with =.
Also pay attention to/address any misrepresented characters when converting the Word file back to create the translated .properties file.

In many situations, search/replace and file conversions using Word can make our job easier with CAT tools. The main thing is to make sure that you know and test how to get the translation/Bilingual file back in order.
I also use this method to create for example TMs from bilingual 2-column Excel files (in Word, replacing tables with tab delimited text, then replacing tabs with and various other operations gathered into a Word macro, then cleaning the bilingual Trados Word files into Trados 2007, etc.)

Took only a few seconds to add the file and it hid all string identifiers and comment text.

Gergely - you should get someone to update the page with formats on your website.

We are working on that page, apparently there's just a small technical issue that causes a delay in publishing the corrected version.
