Hello Everybody,
I am having some confusion on the following sentences.

"This classification applies if you prepare or cook food, drinks, or refreshments and sell them for consumption other than on the premises"

My problem is on the phrase "other than on the premises". What does it mean? What is the meaning of "premises" in the phrase?

This may be simple matter for you natives, but I don't get the point clearly.

premises: (Business / Commerce) a piece of land together with its buildings, esp considered as a place of business

Choose one that matches the context... You may have to replace the word on.
