handbook of symbols for consecutive interpreting

I really need help with consecutive interpreting. I am a student of last year of Translation and Interpreting and I feel like it is impossible to be able to do a perfect consecutive, maybe because I am so obssesed with symbols or maybe because I am unable to remember everything without having taken notes. So, as it is impossible for me not to write down the speech, I would like to ask you if you know handbooks of note-taking and symbolsor abreviations for consecutive interpreting.
