Patricia's daughter Karla has contacted me to let me know that her mother lost her long battle against pancreatitis two days before Christmas.

Dear Ace:
Thank you for passing on the devastating news. "Patty" as many of us knew her was a very talented, warm and thoughtful colleague, with whom I shared many personal messages, although in recent months, we had not been in contact. I had no idea. She will be sorely missed on ProZ.
My deepest sympathies to her family, in particular, her daughter.

So sorry and shocked to hear this sad news - even after so many months. Patty was tremendous fun, kind, clever, hard-working and dynamic. When there was a wrong to set right or fun to be had, Patricia sallied forth!
