Googled it and it comes up as "A term orginating in Atlanta that, in the beginning, referred to a short person or child, but the span of the word has grown to include any and all people..."

Don't see it catching on in my neck of the woods (Europe). The rest are all common parlance, although I think the practice of "flossing" (i. e. dental hygiene) is more widespread in US than UK culture.
