I haven’t started to write down my findings. They are very subjective and for me, CTE is the obvious winner in terms of flexibility, simplicity, speed and annual licensing fees.
The number of views for this posting is rather low, so I’m afraid that writing down my findings is just a waste of time.
BTW: As it turned out, it’s not possible to create a nice table in the Proz postings editor.
Last but not least: I only have a few days left to evaluate the mQ trial.
But of course: feel free to contribute your findings. Don’t be shy and personal prefs are allowed.

And what about back-reference (\1, \2 etc) support in regex?
Is there «any-tag placeable» support in regex? (like \d - placeable for any digit)

While further exploring memoQ, as long as the trial allows me too, I concluded that one other topic is the Features of the translation editors, like smart (multi) word selection, compatibility with dictation software, etc.

MemoQ´s Find (and Replace) is confusing to me. I can´t always get it to work right.
In CafeTran, I like the way you can just select a portion of the Source segment and it automatically pastes it in the Target instead of having to click on Paste.

- Smart case adaption when transposing words (option)
- Smart handling of spaces when transposing words (option)
This demo shows smart selection of word groups via the mouse and transposing words both via the mouse and keyboard shortcuts:
