Discussion

Shera Lyn Parpia (asker) Jun 26, 2007:
One group of people is going to take over from another one, so they need "on-the-job training".
xlationhouse Jun 25, 2007:
Do you have more context? Having two sales forces work side by side doesn't make much sense (it being fundamentally a competitive activity and usually paid as such). Perhaps the preceding/following text will shed more light.

shadowing

Shadowing or mentoring (shadowing I think is best in your case). It can work both ways, i.e. the experienced person can shadow the less experienced person to make sure they're doing things right, or the less experienced person can follow the experienced one around to see what his job entails.

Backing/Support

That's the translations I found. Babylon gives the Spanish translation of ayuda. Hoepli speaks of backing/support.

Overlapping training exists but I don't know if it can apply here.
